Sarah Griego is an American composer, orchestrator, performer, conductor, and educator. She has taught students ranging from beginning to advanced levels in jazz and classical saxophone, as well as music theory, composition, and arranging.
As both an educator and musician, she values versatility in performance, writing, listening, and teaching while encouraging students to approach music without stylistic prejudice.
Sarah remains active as a composer and arranger, writing for concert hall ensembles, chamber groups, big band and vocal jazz ensembles, orchestra, marching band, mariachi, and a wide range of contemporary settings.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Music in Jazz Composition from the University of North Texas.
